About our Charity Partners

We work with our charity partners to raise funds and redistribute food to the people who need it.

Since 2012 students donations through ‘Give It, Don’t Bin It’ have diverted 2,118,661 tonnes of unused items from landfill – that’s the equivalent of 12,504,637kg CO2 emissions!

The British Heart Foundation

Items donated to the British Heart Foundation donation banks go directly towards raising vital funds for lifesaving research through the sale of the items in British Heart Foundation shops. Since 2012, donations from students have helped raised the equivalent of £3.7 million for the British Heart Foundation, who have funded training schemes, defibrillators and life-saving heart research.

White Rose

We are especially grateful for all the generous donations of clothing and accessories that made it possible for White Rose to continue working towards raising those vital funds for the Aegis Trust.

Manchester Central Food Bank

Our partner food charities help tackle food poverty by taking surplus food and redistributing to the people who need it most.

The Manchester Central Food Bank provides emergency food for local people in crisis. Food items donated by Manchester Met and the University of Manchester students are provided to this charity.

SUEZ

Items collected by SUEZ recycling and recovery UK will be taken to the Greater Manchester Renew Hub, where they’ll be cleaned up, mended or upcycled before they’re sent on to one of our three Renew shops. All of the money raised via Renew goes back to the local community through the Greater Manchester Mayor’s Charity and the R4GM Community Fund.

Bideford Community Centre

Items collected by Bideford Community Centre will be used to support their work in Baguley, Wythenshawe. The centre hosts activities for all ages, from karate to computer classes!
